Match Report
Royal Hospital School Boys-U14B vs  Uppingham School
On: Saturday, 09 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

In a game of three thirds, the first of 15 and the other two of 10, we unfortunately found ourselves 17-0 down early on, due to a few missed tackles on some of their bigger boys. Encouragingly though, in the second third, Daniel Akinyemi scored two great solo tries, meaning that we were just one score behind going into the last 10 mins, trailing 17-12. We were playing fantastically well and I thought the crucial try was coming, however a couple of knock-ons in promising areas meant we couldn't capitalise. Uppingham broke away with the last play of the game to make the final score 22-12. Special mentions have to go to Akinyemi, Setterfield and Liston who ran excellently with ball in hand, and Mann who was ferocious in the tackle. A few things to work on in training this week, but an encouraging start to the season.
