Match Report
Royal Hospital School Boys-U14A vs  RGS, Colchester
On: Saturday, 23 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

Saturday afternoon saw the Under 14As play their third away fixture of the season against Colchester Grammar. Both sides came into the match unbeaten. The game kicked off with a touch line full of family and friends eager to see how the two teams would get on.

Neither team disappointed with great intensity from the off. RHS were first on the scoresheet to make it 7-0. CGS responded well with physical defence which was rewarded with a try to make it 7-7. The rugby was end to end with effective running lines from both sets of forwards and slick hands in the back lines making a good show for the spectators. RHS went into half time 14-12 down after conceding a late Try.

RHS restarted the 2nd half knowing what they had to do, discipline with the ref, defend effectively and be clinical when attacking. RHS implemented this game plan successfully starting with a well worked Try from Max Puckey to score under the posts and converted by Joel Sheldon to make it 19-14. The Trys continued with Aston Gradwick-Light and Archie Fryer also scoring. CGS did not give up and battled fiercely to the end to try and score but superb defence from RHS halted their efforts to end the game 33-14 to RHS.
