Match Report
Royal Hospital School Girls U14B vs  Gresham's School
On: Saturday, 30 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

A very tight first half saw both teams taking chances but no team able to convert them. THe RHS girls played with a high tempo and as a result dominated the attacking play and were unlucky to end the half 0-0. Team Captain Grace Carnell led from the front and had a strong defensive partnership with Bryana Findlay. In midfield Jacinta Nutall and Lucinda Halim worked the wings excellently to ensure that RHS found space and moved the ball when attacking.
In the second half the tempo after a strong team talk Greshams increased the tempo of the game and as a result dominated pocession. THe RHS defence worked hard togerther and held strong with good leadership from Grace and Bryana and several goal line clearances from Sophie finch
A break in play saw the RHS wingers play into space with Ellie Davis dropping into midfield to help channel the ball into the D and Laura tickle converted for the RHS first goal.
This seemed to give RHS more confidence but the defenders were still needed to stay strong. Greshams continue to dominate the play but a second breakaway play saw Jacinta run 60 yards with the ball and slotted a pass perfectly into Matilda Gladwell who put away a strong shot for the RHS second goal. An amazing win from the girls saw us really come together as a team and as a result everyone was MVP.
